FSSAI License Renewal

Just like your passport or driver’s license, your FSSAI License also requires renewal! FSSAI License Renewal is a mandatory process for all Food Business Operators (FBOs) to extend the validity of their existing license or registration.

As per FSSAI regulations, food licenses are issued for 1 to 5 years and must be renewed at least 30 days before expiry to avoid penalties or cancellation. Operating with an expired license can lead to heavy fines or even closure of your business.

  • Passport-size photograph

  • Valid Photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)

  • Business address proof (electricity bill, rent agreement, etc.)

  • Existing FSSAI Registration Number

  • All Basic Registration documents, plus:
  • Form B (duly filled & signed)
  • Turnover proof (CA certificate or bank statement)
  • Food product/category list
  • List of directors/partners with ID & address proof
  • Premises ownership proof (rent agreement, property papers)
  • Water test report (for manufacturing units)
  • Updated equipment/machinery details (for manufacturers)
  • Any supporting documents if changes have occurred (e.g., address, business structure)
  1. Visit/ Login on the FSSAI Online Portal
  2. Go to "Renew License/Registration"
  3. Select the license/registration number you want to renew
  4. Update & upload required documents if any changes (address, food category, etc.)
  5. Pay the renewal fee (based on validity period & license type)
  6. Submit the application
  7. Track status using the reference number
